From Infrastructure Engineer to Construction AI Founder: Why I Built Lexilio

I spent years building systems that could not fail. Zero-trust infrastructure, security governance for millions of users, cloud architecture that had to work at 3am on a Sunday. The problems were hard, the stakes were real, and the solutions had to be precise.

Then I started looking at construction.

A $13 trillion industry. The largest in the world. And most of it running on contracts that the people responsible for them have never fully read.

Not because they are careless. Because a standard FIDIC Silver Book EPC contract runs to 200 pages before you add the Particular Conditions, the Employer's Requirements, the subcontracts, and the variations. A mid-size contractor managing five active projects is sitting on thousands of pages of live commercial obligations, most of which exist only in PDF files nobody has systematically reviewed.

The consequences are not theoretical. Notice periods missed by days. Claims extinguished because nobody caught Clause 20.1. Conflicts between the main contract and the subcontract that were there at tender, visible to anyone who looked, but nobody looked. Commercial teams doing their best with spreadsheets and expensive QS advice, always one deadline behind.

I built Lexilio to fix this.

Lexilio reads your entire contract suite. Main contracts, subcontracts, variations, specifications. It extracts every obligation, every deadline, every notice requirement, every risk. It detects conflicts between documents. It drafts contractual notices. It tells you, in plain language, exactly where your commercial exposure is before it becomes a claim.

It supports FIDIC, NEC, JCT, and AIA natively. Analysis takes under two minutes. Your data is never used to train any model.

We are currently running pilots with contractors across the UK, UAE, and KSA. Earlier this year, Lexilio was selected for Baltic Ventures Launchpad 2026, one of ten startups chosen across the region.

This is the beginning. The next stage is autonomous commercial operations. Lexilio does not just read contracts. It watches them, tracks obligations in real time, and acts before deadlines are missed. Service as Software, not another tool for your team to operate.

If you are a commercial manager, QS, or procurement lead and this sounds familiar, I would like to hear from you.
